South Carolina Hispanic Outreach
The goal of South Carolina Hispanic Outreach is to celebrate the Hispanic/Latino community by improving quality of life and encouraging empowerment and self-reliance. They provide services for health education, prevention, and screening, financial education, domestic violence, soft skills development, English education, and other community programs. The South Carolina Hispanic Outreach also provides free referrals and counseling in legal, social, health, employment, and educational matters. These programs are all offered in Spanish. By building cultural competence in the community, the Latino/Hispanic population can be better connected to the services that they need.

Good Samaritan Clinic
The Good Samaritan Clinic is a free clinic with five offices in South Carolina. They offer a variety of services for general health. Their goal is to serve as a link between the Hispanic population and the healthcare system. To help this population, they offer interpretation and other services in an environment connected to their culture and language. They provide medical assistance to anyone who needs it.
The services include general medical evaluations, diagnostic tests, prenatal care, women’s health, chronic disease management, physical exams for sports, and education about nutrition, diabetes, and hypertension.

It has resources to keep you up to date on the latest COVID-19 news as well as other developments in the medical community. Here, you can find interviews with people who may come from similar backgrounds and share similar medical histories. This magazine is free on the internet.

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach
Our Lady of Mercy (Nuestra Señora de la Merced) offers services to residents of Charleston county (including James, Johns, and Wadmalaw islands), Berkeley county, and Dorchester county. This organization provides dental, gynecological, prenatal, and educational services, blood pressure and diabetes testing, and yoga classes. Our Lady of Mercy welcomes people without insurance, those without the means to pay, and those experiencing homelessness.

PASOs Conexiones de Salud
PASOs Health Connections help all members of Latino households, including men, women, and children, by connecting them with comprehensive health care and other needed services. These services include health education, prescription assistance, reproductive health services, assistance with paying medical bills, connection to specialty care, establishing a medical home, and receiving necessary medical services. PASOs not only helps to gain access to medical services, but they also take into account the social and environmental factors of every situation. This includes support in nutritional and social spheres through programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and WIC. The main goal of PASOs Health Connections is to help Latinos achieve quality and holistic care.

Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood is dedicated to the sexual health and reproductive rights of women and men. Providers worry for all of their patients, have resources for patient rights, and offer free Spanish interpreters. Their services include abortions, contraceptives, STD tests and treatments, and other services related to pregnancy and sexual health. If you do not have insurance, Planned Parenthood uses a sliding scale of cost in order to determine a price that the patient is able to pay.

WellsPartners Dental and Eye Clinic
WellPartners is a system of four free clinics for adults and children in the Midlands. These clinics provide a variety of services to help with dental and vision health. If you live below the poverty line and do not have dental or eye care insurance, you can visit one of these clinics for help.
Dental health is very important because it is connected to other diseases. WellPartners can help you to maintain good dental health. The dental services that they provide include full mouth examinations, emergency exams, blood pressure/temperature evaluations, radiograph film, Panorex film, sedative temporary restoration, amalgam restoration, composite restoration, simple and surgical extractions, adult prophylaxis with periodontal exam, gross debridement, scaling, and fluoride treatment.
Eye health is very related to your quality of life. Also, vision problems are a factor in many car accidents and accidents in the home. The WellPartners eye health clinic provides free and comprehensive eye care. Additionally, they have services like eye and vision exams, prescriptions, glasses, dilation, glaucoma screenings, refraction, retinal photography, and visual field exams.

The Wright Wellness Center
The Wright Wellness Center is a center dedicated to sexually transmitted diseases and sexual health. It was founded in 1994 by the African American HIV/AIDS Council and provides sexual health services that include HIV and Hepatitis C rapid tests, tests for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis, and education and resources about sexual health. STD tests are free every 90 days, and the clinic offers free to low cost treatment. The clinic is open for testing Monday to Friday between 9AM to 11AM, and between 1PM to 3PM Monday to Thursday.
