Hello and welcome to Medical Resources SC! The goal of this website is to provide resources for the Hispanic population in the counties of Richland, Lexington, and surrounding areas. Medical Resources SC was created by a group of Spanish students in the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. We are studying a variety of careers in the healthcare field, including medicine, physician’s assistant, and physical therapy. We have spent the semester of Spring 2021 learning in our class “Spanish for Healthcare Professionals” how to accurately care for the Hispanic community to ensure better quality healthcare that is also culturally competent.

 

In Medical Resources SC, you can find information on common illness, medical resources in South Carolina, and information about Covid-19. All of the information is specific to the Hispanic community here in the Midlands (the center of South Carolina).
